Youth

The mission of our Youth Group is “To create a positive peer group, composed of young people in grades 6-12 and their adult advisors, whereby we can grow into the abundant life promised by Jesus Christ.”  Our Youth Ministry seeks to reinforce and support family life, in a strong and positive manner.  Several components of our current Youth Group ministry are:
  • Youth Group Meetings & Bible Study, exploring the Bible in creative and fun ways that relate to our youth's daily lives
  • Special Activities, Service Projects, and Events, such as Youth Sunday, when our youth lead our 10am service, helping our community, bowling, rafting, lazer tag, lock-ins, and more
  • Youth Group Retreats give youth time away to reflect on their relationship with God
  • Opportunities to serve as Acolytes, Kid Church Assistants, Nursery Assistants, Lay Readers, and Ushers

Registration for Youth Group allows St. Michael's to have emergency contact information on hand.  A copy of the form is available here.

All persons working with youth in our parish have completed Safeguarding God's Children training.
