KNOWING GOD 4

Sundays, Oct. 3 - Nov. 14

God knows you – through and through – and He loves you anyway!  And He wants you to get to know and love Him, too.  That’s what the KNOWING GOD series is all about; not just knowing ABOUT God, but getting to know Him better PERSONALLY.  These church-wide Bible study programs are designed by Mother Ellen – the fruit of her 35 years of studying and teaching the Word of God – to help all of us, newcomers and old hands alike, to take the next step in our personal relationship with God.

KNOWING GOD 4 will focus on developing true intimacy with the Father, through simple heart-to-heart conversation with Him – otherwise known as prayer.  We will learn to actually DO what Jesus says – “Pray like this” – by using His words, which we know as “the Lord’s Prayer,” not as a ritual but as a pattern for our own personal prayer.  You may be surprised at the riches to be found in these 64 simple and familiar words!

THE THEMES:

v  OUR FATHER – it’s all about relationship

v  THANK YOU – Your Kingdom come

v  PLEASE – daily bread and forgiveness

v  FAITH IN ACTION Weekend – prayer and action

v  HELP! – deliver us from evil

v  ARE YOU LISTENING? – the silence of God

v  SURRENDER – You’re in charge!

THE FORMAT:

v  Multi-media BIBLE TEACHING by Mother Ellen, Sundays 10am,

October 3 – November 17

v  Weekly SMALL GROUP meetings for hands-on Bible study and fellowship; groups offered every day of the week – for men, for women, for anyone
