St. Michael's offers a plot in our Neighborhood Garden to nearby apartment dwellers as well as avid gardeners. Begun in 1993, the size of the garden has increased to 40 plots where gardeners plant veggies, flowers, and the weeds are self-starters! A perennial garden is also maintained by volunteers. The gardeners have easy access to hoses to water their gardens. Friendships have been made in the garden--most of the gardeners are not members of St. Michael's Church. Husband and wife team, Michael and Jane, are the Coordinators.
Two or more members had a vision to start St. Michael's Thrift Shoppe as an outreach to help those in need. It is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am to 1pm and offers a variety of items including clothing, brickabrack, jewelry, shoes, small furniture. Donations to the Thrift Shoppe may be made on Saturdays or during Parish Office working hour, Tuesday through Friday, 9am to 3pm. Call 973-694-1026 before you come. Volunteers offer to pray for any needs that the shoppers may have. Funds raised go solely as an outreach to people in the community.
If you are looking for a Food Pantry, try St. Agnes Little Falls Food Pantry or the WIN Food Pantry to obtain donations.
We welcome you to join us for worship, fellowship or other events you may find of interest. Please see the calendar for times and dates of various activities.
At the beginning of every October, St. Michael's offers Blessing of the Animals, where owners, as well as animals, may be blessed.
St. Michael's has a Memorial Garden where cremains may be interred.
Community members can call the Parish Office for prayer for themselves or loved ones which are sent to our Prayer Volunteers.
Fellowship Hall is available as a rental for social, community or family events.
